October is the best month out here: cool mornings, dry clay, and slickrock that grips. Buy a day pass ahead and scan it at the gate, or rent a four-seat side-by-side for the morning.
Every rider signs a waiver and runs a helmet and a whip flag. Loaners are free at the gate.

Bought the day pass on my phone at the motel, scanned it at the gate at 7:05, and was aired down before the sun cleared the mesa. Black means black on the rock garden. I bent a tie rod finding that out.
Took the 8am side-by-side with my two teenagers. Safety talk, radio check, map, and we were moving in fifteen minutes. The blue loop out to the slickrock bench was the best morning of the trip.
Good park and the grading is honest. Lost a star for the wash station, which had a twenty-minute line at 4pm on a Sunday. Go earlier or skip it.
Broke a CV axle out past the cinder flats. Kade had the recovery rig to me in about forty minutes and towed me back to the yard. $95 flat, like the sign says.
The members lane is why I renewed. Saturday morning there were twelve trailers in the day line and I drove straight past them.
The UTV was clean and ran fine, but four hours goes fast. It is enough for the green and blue trails and that is about it. I wish they rented full days.

A short note when a line changes or a storm closes the clay. Nothing else.
